Welcome to CareerFairy! CareerFairy is an online platform that is designed to build a bridge between the new generation of talents and employees at work. It is owned and operated by CareerFairy AG, a Swiss corporation, based at Hardturmstrasse 253, 8005 Zurich, Switzerland. In this Privacy Policy, CareerFairy AG will be referred to as “CareerFairy” or “we”, and the user of the website located at https://careerfairy.io (CareerFairy Website) will be referred to as “user” or “you”.

By creating and using an account with us, you are accepting these Terms and Conditions. Do not continue to use the CareerFairy Website if you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on the CareerFairy Website.

Account creation

To fully use the CareerFairy Website, you will need to create an account by providing your name, password, valid email address, study subject, first name, university. You must have agreed to these Terms and Conditions, including the Data Protection Notice, before you create an account with us. You must provide accurate registration information to us and notify us, by updating your account, if your information changes.

Account security

You are responsible for all activity that occurs in your account on the CareerFairy Website. You must not allow others to use your account credentials and you must safeguard the confidentiality of those credentials. If you are using a computer that others have access to, you must log out of your account after using the CareerFairy Website. If you become aware of someone gaining unauthorised access to your account, you must change your password and notify us immediately at privacy@careerfairy.io.

Account deletion

You may request the deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@careerfairy.io at any time.

If your account is inactive for a period of 24 months we will email you a request to log in. If you do not respond to the email request within 12 weeks we will delete your account.

If we discover that you have breached these Terms and Conditions in any way, we may delete your account, without incurring any kind of liability to you.

The CareerFairy Website uses cookies. For more details about the way we use cookies, please read our Data Protection Notice.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, CareerFairy and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material that you will find on the CareerFairy Website. CareerFairy grants you a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the CareerFairy Website, subject to these Terms and Conditions.

You must not:

Republish material from the CareerFairy Website
Sell, rent or sub-license material from the CareerFairy Website
Reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from the CareerFairy Website
Decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the CareerFairy Website or its source code
Attempt to circumvent or interfere with any of our technical or security measures

Service modifications

We reserve the right to modify the CareerFairy Website at any time to make improvements and to comply with applicable laws. This may include removing recordings of livestreams from the CareerFairy Website, moving recordings to a different part of the CareerFairy Website, and showing only selected parts of a livestream.

Access to CareerFairy Website

You are responsible for providing your own access (e.g., computer, mobile device, Internet connection, etc.) to the CareerFairy Website.

Availability of the CareerFairy Website

We aim to provide a seamless service, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of the CareerFairy Website. In addition, we cannot guarantee any of the following:

that the CareerFairy Website will be error-free;
that it will be legal for you to access the CareerFairy Website or to create an account on the CareerFairy Website in your country of residence
that you will be contacted by a recruiter if you join a company’s talent pool on CareerFairy
that the CareerFairy Website will enable you to find a job
that livestreams you have seen on previous visits to the CareerFairy Website will always be available

You can choose not to provide us with personal data, but then you will not be able to create an account, upload your CV, be notified of scheduled livestreams or rewatch past livestreams.

Managing personal data

If you would like to update or your profile information, you can do so by directly amending the information in the “My Profile” section of your account. If you would like to delete your personal data or permanently delete your account, you can do so by contacting us by email at privacy@careerfairy.io

Storing personal data

We will keep and use your personal data for as long as we need to for compliance with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Any data we do hold onto will be anonymous. Any personally identifiable information such as your name and e-mail address will be deleted after a defined period. The rest of the data is therefore anonymous and will be used to analyse general market and website trends but without an identifiable personal information.

When creating an account on CareerFairy, we will hold on to your personal data for a maximum duration of 36 months after your last participation in a Career Live Stream, as most students will have completed their studies by then. After this period, we will delete your personal data and your personal account.

Use and processing of collected data

The personal data we hold about you is collected directly from you. We may use it for the following purposes:

To create and manage your account on the CareerFairy Website
To send you information about forthcoming livestream events
To respond to your enquiries and offer support
To request your feedback on our service
To improve your user experience
To ensure that your account is kept up to date
To provide information about you to potential employers, with your permission

Disclaimer

The services we provide on the CareerFairy Website are free of charge. You use the CareerFairy Website at your own risk.

For companies

Expiration of booked events

A Career Live Stream must be carried out within a period of 12 months after the order is placed (date of the acceptance of the offer). After this period has expired, the Career Live Stream can no longer be carried out.

Minimum number of participants

CareerFairy and the university Career Centers can under no circumstances guarantee a minimum number of registered or participating students during the Career Live Stream. The availability of specific dates for the Career Live Stream must be agreed upon with CareerFairy at least 20 days prior to the planned event.

Change of dates

A change of the date of the Career Live Stream is possible and free of charge as long as no notification regarding the date of the event has been sent to the students. As soon as students are made aware of the date of the Career Live Stream, CHF 300 will be charged in addition.

Cancellation fees

If the company cancels the order, the following costs are incurred:

- Cancellation fees before a nfication from a Career Center regarding the date of the Career Live Stream has been sent to the students: CHF 0.

- Cancellation costs after a notification from a Career Center regarding the date of the Career Live Stream of the company has been sent to the students: 100% of the price of the selected Career Live Stream.
